The main reason a pet's owner brings it to have its teeth cleaned, is the awful smelling of its mouth. In fact, the tartar keeps so many bacteria that not only are they responsible of the putrid smelling but also the reason for infections.
El principal motivo por el que un dueño trae a su mascota a una limpieza de dientes es el horrible olor de su boca. De hecho, el sarro mantiene tantas bacterias quee no solo son las responsables de ese olor pútrido sino que son la causa de infecciones.
This cat arrived with a suspicious abscess just under the jaw. Its teeth were very bad, the gums redish and swollen, and a tiny hole between the mole and the gums makes one think that something got stuck there, piercing the tissues, ending with the abscess.
After an ultrasound teeth cleaning, this cat needed several days under antibiotic and painkiller treatment. It only has 4 moles, 2 fans and one tooth, not being able to eat only dry food, having lost already a lot of weight.
Este gato llegó con un sospechoso abceso bajo la mandíbula. Sus dientes estaban muy mal, las encías rojizas e inflamadas, y un pequeño agujero entre la muela y la encía hacía pensar que algo se había clavado allí, atravesando los tejidos y acabando en abceso.
Tras una limpieza dental, este gato necesitó varios días de antibióticos y analgésicos. Sólo tenía 4 muelas, 2 colmillos y un diente, siendo incapaz de comer solo comida seca y habiendo perdido ya mucho peso.
