Hooked!/¡Anclado!

This month's case is a very typical problem on a summer night.

This dog presented with a three end hook within his nostril, that his owner tried to remove unsuccessfully. In fact he needed a very deep sedation and cutting the three ends to be able to remove it. Este perro llegó con un anzuelo de tres puntas dentro de su hocico, que so dueño había intentado quitar sin éxito. De hecho hizo falta una sedación profunda y cortar las tres puntas para poder sacarlo. La más profunda, que no se ve en la foto, sólo salió después de incidir en la piel.

Nostrils are also a very irrigated area, and its bleeded had to be monitored if it clotting cannot sucessfully stop it.  Fortunatelly this was not the case, and no major complication occurred but some inflammation and infection.

El hocico es una zona muy irrigada, y su sangrado tiene que ser vigilado por si la coagulación no la consigue parar. Por suerte no fué el caso, y no hubo más complicaciones que algo de inflamación y una infección.
